Local Color

local color study, acrylic, on paper, of skull
I couldn't remember if I posted this before, so I'm posting it now either for the first time or second time,  I did this a long time ago, and have quite fond memories of that time, I was taking a painting class taught by the Painter Bob Head, Robert Head, the painting professor at the time before his retirement, at Murray State University,  He did a lot o abstracted wilderness paintings, taking trips into the bush of Alaska, which I guess in some way inspired me to choose to live there for a few years in a job I had,  I'm not sure if Bob is still alive, but he was a great teacher, a kind and inspiring man.
